Forgotten Harvest
Providing surplus food to local charities that help families in need throughout Metro Detroit with fresh food, free of charge, Forgotten Harvest was challenged with having to divest their entire e-mail structure away from their parent organization due to compliance requirements.
They were also planning to consolidate 4 separate locations into one building, and all their technology along with it. They sought out a partner with the right experience to manage all these moving parts, while allowing them to fulfill their mission to feed those in need.
We developed a complete e-mail migration plan to divest them from the parent organization, setting them up in a new tenant. Additionally, we worked with their IT leadership to identify, procure, configure and install their new environment, harvesting existing technology where possible, and implementing new pieces where required.
Lastly, to allow them to focus on their core mission, they outsourced their IT support to GRIT, allowing them to transfer resources that would be required to hire full-time IT staff, to employing front-line personnel to ensure surplus food gets where it needs to.
