GRIT Technologies invites you to a night of camaraderie and charitable giving at our 2nd Annual Axe of Honor Charity Event. This year, we are proud to continue our support for the noble mission of Vets Returning Home, an organization dedicated to ending chronic homelessness among veterans. With our efforts last year, we were able to raise over $7,000, and this year we are looking to double it!
Join us for an evening of games and charitable giving at Detroit Axe at Partridge Creek Mall, and be a part of a cause that truly makes a difference in the lives of our veterans.
Supporting Our Heroes:
Vets Returning Home is a nonprofit organization committed to helping veterans transition into stable and fulfilling lives. The mission is clear and unwavering: to put an end to chronic homelessness among veterans in our local communities. But achieving this goal goes beyond providing a roof over their heads. Vets Returning Home takes a holistic approach that addresses the comprehensive needs of each veteran, ensuring they thrive after their transition
Vets Returning Home operates an 11,000-square-foot facility equipped with 43 beds and a commercial kitchen. Notably, six of these beds are dedicated exclusively to female veterans, recognizing the unique challenges they face as well. They offer veterans a stable and sober living environment during their time of crisis.
Comprehensive Support:
Vets Returning Home understands that true reintegration requires more than just shelter. That’s why they provide a range of onsite services including employment readiness training, job placement assistance, connecting veterans to disability benefits, legal support, and life skills training. Their goal is to empower veterans with the tools they need to lead independent and successful lives as contributing members of society.
Community-Powered:
Vets Returning Home relies on the support of compassionate individuals and businesses like you. They receive no government funding, making your contributions all the more vital. Through the generous support of our community, both physically and financially, they have successfully transitioned an average of 250 veterans each year back into society as fully functioning, proud community members.
