The Growth of Tech in Construction

In this episode of GRIT Tech Talks, we have the pleasure of talking with Anne Brown from the AGC of Michigan. We discussed how technology is undergoing adoption at a rapid pace in the construction industry, and the struggle of managing IT in the highly mobile construction space.

Anne has been in the construction industry her entire life, and recently took the role of Director of Membership with the AGC. Anne explains that it is her job to make sure the members’ voices that she supports are heard and to help those members find the services and solutions they need to propel their business forward.

With her background and history in construction, Anne was able to give us good insight into the recent history of tech adoption in the industry.  As she explains, the process was slow at first, but once companies saw the power in leveraging their own internal data, it took off.
